Our personal web server is up. Get your web pages ready. Web space will be limited to 10 Meg. per user. Additional space may be purchased at a reasonable rate. If you have trouble with the directions below, please email webmaster@sciotowireless.net for assistance.

How to Upload Files to your Sciotowireless Personal Website:

1. You must be connected to the internet through a Sciotowireless service.

2. Connect to www.sciotowireless.com with an FTP client of your choice. This needs to be a true port 21 type ftp client, don't use a browser as they use port 80 for ftp. You can find a variety of ftp clients at http://www.tucows.com. A good program is CoffeeCup Free FTP.

3. Point your FTP program to www.sciotowireless.com.

4. Then login with your account name (your email address without the @sciotowireless.net) and password.

5. When you have logged in, the top level directory that you see is the top level directory of your website. Upload all files relative to that.

6. Your default webpage must be named index.html, index.htm, index.php, default.htm or Default.htm. They are case sensitive.

7. One thing to note is that our webserver is case sensitive to all file names. A lot of HTML editors in Windows will name a file Default.htm and create links to the file as default.htm. This will break the links. Be careful about this.

8. To view your website point your browser to http://www.sciotowireless.com/~[username] (where [username] is the name you logged into the website as).
